Resettlement and Data Technician

Duties Undertake regular field visits to ensure that data collection by a third-party is being managed in line with business protocols and requirements Provide GIS/survey and mapping support for all resettlement implementation activities Ensure all data collected is adequately stored, backed up and managed in the Project’s data repository Be the custodian of the resettlement physical and digital data archive Supervise the field investigation of all new occupations, for both physical and economic displacement claims, and ensure the registration of all evidence Manage all Resettlement related equipment (e.g., GPS units, plotters, printers, cameras) for data collection, processing and reporting Conduct spatial analyses and provide specific mapping support for resettlement team and SED more broadly as required Produce regular reports/progress maps, plus ad hoc information to support Project activities Accountabilities The Resettlement Data Technician is responsible for all field activities related to the resettlement data collection processes (collection, QA/QC, analysis, distribution, workflow and data maintenance, etc.) and for the provision of overall data support to the SED department Requisites Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Data Management or related field At least three (3) years’ experience with social geospatial data management and analysis Field experience with land asset, survey compensation associated with Resettlement and the QA/QC requirements to feed the compensation agreement Good understanding of the importance of resettlement data integrity and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes Experience with database management software, including ArcGIS Pro, SDE, FileMaker, ODBC, ISOMETRIX and Borealis Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) required Notes Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted Fonte https://www.emprego.co.mz/vaga/resettlement-and-data-technician/
